On the threshold of Lunar New Year holidays, on 19/01/2017 PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo) Trade Union visited and donated 1,000 square glutinousrice cakes called Banh Chung to nearly 1,000 people nourished at Chanh Phu Hoa Social Protection Center (SPC), Binh Duong Province.
PVFCCo’s delegation included Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hung – Trade Union Vice Chairman and other personnel of PVFCCo. According to Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hung, in the last few days PVFCCo’s personnel at its headquarter and Phu My Fertilizer Plant purchased rice, meat, green beans and made these rice cakes by themselves as a token of their support to the underprivileged. 1,000 rice cakes were cooked late at night on Jan 18th till 03:00 a.m. on Jan 19th to be ready for donation to Chanh Phu Hoa SPC right in the morning of the same day. 1,000 cakes are not high in value, but reflect the heart of PVFCCo’s personnel to bring some early New Year atmosphere to Chanh Phu Hoa SPC.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hung said that with the 2017 traditional Tet less than one week away, PVFCCo personnel wished a warm Lunar New Year filled with love and happiness to all SPC leadership, employees and 1,000 elderly, poor and helpless persons, underprivileged and disabled children currently nourished by the Center.
Addressing the ceremony, Mr. Pham Dac Tinh – SPC Director thanked PVFCCo Trade Union and personnel for the kind support to Chanh Phu Hoa SPC over time. He further affirmed that such support from PVFCCo Trade Union for Chanh Phu Hoa SPC was of great significance, contributing materials for better care and nourishment to its people.
Reportedly, Chanh Phu Hoa SPC, Binh Duong Province currently provides care to nearly 1,000 people in various unfortunate circumstances, such as the helpless elderly, the underprivileged, orphans, disabled children, etc. They are all helpless and have no one to rely on, and 1,000 home-made rice cakes of PVFCCo personnel have contributed a cozy, humane Lunar New Year to those unfortunate people here.
