Commemorating Heroes and Martyrs

On the morning of July 23, 2024, a delegation of leaders and employees from the PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo), led by Mr Nguyễn Xuân Hòa, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Board of Directors, visited the Hồ Chí Minh City Martyrs’ Cemetery.

The delegation included Mr Tống Xuân Phong, Member of the Party Committee Standing Committee and Chairman of the Trade Union; Mr Trịnh Văn Khiêm, Member of the Party Executive Committee, Member of the Board of Directors, and Chairman of the Veterans Association; Mr Đào Văn Ngọc, Deputy General Director; Mr Tạ Quang Huy, Deputy General Director; Mr Võ Ngọc Phương, Deputy General Director; Mr Phạm Chí Trung, Secretary of the Youth Union, along with leaders of various departments, veterans association members, and youth union members from affiliated units in Ho Chi Minh City.

At the Hồ Chí Minh City Martyrs’ Cemetery, in a solemn atmosphere, the delegates laid wreaths, offered incense, and observed a moment of silence to honor and remember the martyrs who devoted their youth, fought, and sacrificed for the cause of national liberation and reunification. They also expressed their profound sorrow and respect for General Secretary Nguyễn Phú Trọng, who passed away on July 19, 2024. Following the incense offering ceremony, the delegates visited and offered incense at the graves, which are the resting places of nearly 14,500 heroes and martyrs, to remember and show gratitude.

This traditional activity of PVFCCo, held annually on the occasion of the War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day on July 27, demonstrates the corporation’s gratitude for the contributions of the fallen heroes who sacrificed for the nation’s independence and freedom.

In July, PVFCCo and its member units will continue to organize meaningful activities to repay the nation’s debt of gratitude, such as visiting and caring for war invalids, heroic Vietnamese mothers, and presenting charity houses.
