PVFCCo Women – Steadfast through hardships

(PetroTimes) – On the morning of October 20, the Labour Union – Women's Department of PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo) hosted an online meeting program, "PVFCCo Women – Resilience through hardships" to recognize and honor the spirit of woman employees and overcome difficulties during the pandemic, the contribution of female employees in PVFCCo's activities.

 

Attending were representatives from the Vietnam Oil and Gas Trade Union, Mr. Vu Anh Tuan – Vice Chairman of the Labour Union of Vietnam; Ms. Luong Thi Hong Nhung – Head of Propaganda Department of Vietnam Oil & Gas College of Women.

On PVFCCo's side, Mr. Hoang Trong Dung – Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Board of Directors; Mr. Le Cu Tan – General Director, together with Mr./Ms. In the Board of Directors; Mr. Tong Xuan Phong, Chairman of TCT Labour Union, together with leaders organizations, female leaders of units; especially the participation of 20 women who received the title of Women of PVFCCo – Firmly overcome difficulties, along with the presence of 120 women representatives of the units.

 

At the program, sharing about the unforgettable days of PVFCCo women during the difficult period of overcoming the pandemic, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha – Head of the Women's Department of PVFCCo said: As soon as the epidemic hit, PVFCCo took the initiative. Develop a "3 on the spot" production plan combined with "1 route – 2 destinations". PVFCCo was ready to participate with enthusiasm.

"Woman at the factory, the Packaging Company, the regional company have urgently arranged decisions. All of the female employees are enthusiastic, enthusiastic, and highly responsible for their work; the quick and timely handling of the work helps the management and service of general activities in the Corporation to be smooth since then. 

 

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha – Head of the Women's Department of PVFCCo shared about the unforgettable days of PVFCCo women during the difficult period of the pandemic.

 

In the "3 on-site" phase from July-September 2021, 96 women were participating at the factory. At the Packaging Company, 150 women were participating. Some have not been home for more than 3 months; many couples also participate in "3 on-site" due to the characteristics of their work, both working online, taking care of the housework. Some women are also very active in volunteering to support the frontline against the epidemic and do charity work to help difficult situations in the locality. Having a sister, my family and I were also infected, but with will and energy, I overcame it and shared experiences in epidemic prevention and treatment of Covid-19 with colleagues, encouraging everyone to participate.

 

Understanding those difficulties, the leaders and Labour Union of PVFCCo have paid attention to the employees with the support. At the same time, to prevent employees from being stressed, the Factory Labour Union also creates after-hours entertainment encouraging physical activities such as badminton, shuttlecock, barbell, push-ups. … The Labour Union of PVFCCo organized the cultural program "Night of Giao Ca."

The images through the reportage "Journey through the memory domain" shown in the program have once again vividly demonstrated the journey of overcoming difficulties to complete the task of PVFCCo in general and PVFCCo women. 

 

On behalf of the Vietnam Oil & Gas Trade Union leadership, Mr. Vu Anh Tuan – Vice Chairman of VFF, highly appreciated the Women's Committee of PVFCCo for organizing a meaningful program for women in an exceptional period like today. In the past, the women and staff have constantly promoted the good qualities of women. Vietnamese women are solidarity, bravery, and creativity to overcome difficulties and complete assigned tasks, typically PVFCCo women.

 

Mr. Vu Anh Tuan expressed his admiration for PVFCCo's female employees who have always made great efforts, overcame difficulties, excelled in learning, improved professional qualifications. Among them are many women who hold key leadership positions in the unit. In particular, he praised the 20 women who were honored as "PVFCCo Women – Steadfast through hardships."

 

To continue promoting the female workforce of PVFCCo in particular and the whole oil and gas industry in general, Vice Chairman of the Labour Union of Petrovietnam Vu Anh Tuan suggested that PVFCCo continue to do an excellent job in propagating laws and policies for women's and promoting equality to raise awareness. At the same time, it is suggested that PVFCCo's committees and leaders pay more attention to female employees so that they can have more opportunities to develop, contribute to the development of PVFCCo in the future, and contribute to the resources of female employees.

 

Mr. Hoang Trong Dung: Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Board of Directors of PVFCCo, sent congratulations as well as recognition, praise, encouragement to all female employees of PVFCCo; especially female employees working "3 on the spot" who have made sacrifices and dedication to the stability and efficiency in production and business activities of the Corporation during the epidemic.

 

Chairman of the Board of Directors of PVFCCo Hoang Trong Dung pledged that together with leaders of the Corporation, the Trade Union, and the Women's Committee, they would continue to pay attention to, support, and create better working conditions for women of PVFCCo to feel secure in their work in the coming time.

 

Representative of 20 typical women, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tu – Medical staff of Phu My Fertilizer Factory shared her journey to overcome difficulties at work because of the epidemic.

Their sharing is meaningful and valuable to all PVFCCo employees in terms of responsibility, sacrifice, positive thinking, and above all, for a united PVFCCo.
