Ho Chi Minh City, February 24, 2021 – Petrovietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo) announced it would offer Hai Duong province a package of 500 million VND to fight against the Covid-19 epidemic-which had been severely spreading on the province. This practical deed is a part of the joint program of 1.5 billion Dong of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group and its affiliates in shouldering Hai Duong to quickly stop Covid-19 outbreak, manifesting mutual love spirit – a good trait of culture of “responsibility – sharing” which is widely practiced among oil and gas workers.
In observing regulations on epidemic prevention & fighting and timely meeting urgent need, aid amount is transferred to the Hai Duong Fatherland Front Committee – the local unit in charge of aid mobilization & absorption.
Not only timely giving urgent aid, PVFCCo has also planned to coordinate with the local agricultural authorities to bring local people measures to resume post-epidemic farming, prepare for the upcoming crop such as cultivation technical guidance, pest and disease control so that people can quickly settle down to normal lives.
From the beginning of 2021, Hai Duong is the province most severely affected by the Covid -19 outbreak in the country; the number of infected, testable and isolated people has forced the province to declare a state of emergency. Local quarantine with limited local resources caused the fight against epidemics, and people's lives numerous difficulties. In that context, the cooperation of social communities, organizations, businesses, and individuals across the country is an essential driving force to help Hai Duong quickly overcome the epidemic and bring people's lives back to normal.
Since the Covid-19 epidemic broke out at the beginning of 2020, Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group in general and PVFCCo in particular had taken measures to secure maximum safety for the production and trading activities and finance other material activities, accompanying the whole country to prevent fight against the epidemic such as donating money, building and handing over health care stations, medical supplies totaling up to tens of Billion Vietnamese Dong.
