PVFCCo hands over high-speed patrol boat H47P to the Command of Vietnam Coast Guard

On 10/05/2014, Petrovietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo) coordinated with the Command of Vietnam Coast Guard in organizing the ceremony to hand over the high-speed petrol boat H47P to the Coast Guard force in Vung Tau.

Attendees of the ceremony, from Vietnam Coast Guard, included Major General Nguyen Quang Dam – Commander of Vietnam Coast Guard; Colonel Do Hong Do – Political Commissar of Coast Guard Region 3; from Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group, Mr. Le Minh Hong – PVN’s Vice President; Mr. Le Van Quoc Viet – PVFCCo’s Vice President

The high-speed patrol boat H47P sponsored by PVFCCo is worth 12 billion VND. The boat, measuring 13.5m in length, 3.5m in width with displacement of 10.2 tons and 600 horsepower, can carry 3 tons of cargo and 12 crew members. The boat was handed over to the Command of Coast Guard and then Coast Guard Region 3 for management and operation.

Addressing the Handover ceremony, Mr. Le Van Quoc Viet said: “The sponsorship for H47P building project demonstrates the spirit and responsibility of PVFCCo in protecting our sea and island sovereignty. With the new patrol boat, Vietnam Coast Guard will have an  efficient instrument for patrol and supervision of Vietnam coast”.

Reportedly, in recent years, PVFCCo has spent more than 22 billion VND on sponsoring activities of Vietnam Coast Guard and Navy in various programs towards our homeland islands.
