Hochiminh City, June 2nd, 2014 – Petrovietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo – stock code DPM, Phu My fertilizer and chemical products manufacturer) announced that its Petrochemical manufacturing facility in Ba Ria – Vung Tau has been officially operational since the beginning of 2014. Until now, the Facility has provided more than 5,000 drums of special petrochemical products to customers, achieving about VND 60 billion in revenues. At full capacity, the Facility can generate approximately VND300 billion in annual revenues.
The Facility has the capacity of 25,000 drums/year, processing and manufacturing specialized chemicals, chemical products for oil and gas production, and chemicals used in oil refineries. The Facility was built on the basis of an agreement between PVFCCo and Baker Hughes Petrolite to manufacture specialized chemicals and chemical products used in oil production and refinery in accordance with the manufacturing and quality management process of Baker Hughes. Previously, these chemicals and chemical products had to be imported 100% from: England, USA, and European countries. This is the first specialized chemicals and chemical products. Facility invested by a member company of Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PVN) in order to supply specialized chemicals to oil and gas companies operating in Vietnam.
The Petrochemical manufacturing facility started construction at the end of 2013 in Dong Xuyen Industrial Park, RachDua Ward, Vung Tau City, Ba Ria Vung Tau Province. The Facility has been equipped with modern machinery and equipment from Japan, Germany, and USA, complying with strict requirements of Baker Hughes’manufacturing processfor specialized chemicals and chemical products. Besides, the Facility has also been rated by Baker Hughes Global assatisfying standards on equipment, technology, laboratory, safety devices, fire control and environment.
