According to PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo – stock code: DPM, manufacturer and supplier of Phu My fertilizers), Phu My Fertilizer Plant has just completed the periodic general maintenance in 2017 on Dec 30th, 2017.
The maintenance was started on November 22, 2017 and also involved the tie-in of the existing Plant with the Complex Project of NH3 Unit revamping and construction of chemical technology NPK plant. Therefore, this was the biggest and most complicated general maintenance ever with a total of 5,252 work items.
PVFCCo performed the general maintanance of Phu My Fertilizer Plant successfully
On December 30, 2017, all workshops/units of the Plant already resumed their normal operations, reaching 109% of design capacity of Urea Unit. With the successful tie-in, existing capacity of NH3 workshop has been increased by 90,000 tons/year, up by approximately 20%. Also, to ensure a timely supply of high-quality urea to farmers, PVFCCo has planned and readily prepared for quick dispatch and delivery of Phu My Urea manufactured by the Plant to key agricultural zones across the country for the upcoming Winter-Spring crop.
Results of this maintenance again recognized improvements in skills and workmanships of the staffs of Phu My Fertilizer Plant in particular and PVFCCo in general. The team was actively involved in the general maintenance, completely controlled over the plan, and contributed many innovative ideas and technical improvements. As a result, a lot of additional work items were dealt with quickly, leading to the successful tie-in of NH3 Unit revamping project in a safe and early manner thanks to smooth and accurate coordination among the Plant, PMB, and contractors.
Together with the successful implementation of the general maintenance, PVFCCo also achieved positive production and business results in 2017. Specifically, production of Phu My Fertilizer Plant (including converted NH3 volume) is estimated to be 825,939 tons – reaching 107% of the yearly target; converted sales volume of Phu My fertilizer is estimated to be 810,887 tons or 103% of the yearly target, maintaining the market share of over 40% in the national urea market; and sales volume of other fertilizer is estimated to be 379,421 tons, reaching 122% of the yearly target.
