On the afternoon of March 18, in Hanoi, Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Vietnam Farmers’ Association and PVFCCo held a press conference to launch the writing contest about agriculture, farmers and rural areas in 2013 with the theme “Building of new rural areas”. The contest is to encourage and promote articles reflecting new rural areas building movement across the country.
Attending the conference were Mr. Thinh Giang – Deputy Editor-in-chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper and Mr. Bui Minh Tien – Chairman of the Board of Directors of PVFCCo.
Participants include all journalists, reporters, freelancers, domestic and oversea readers with various categories: reportage, investigation, note, portrait, photo group. Each writer can submit more than one article. Articles must be submitted from March 15, 2013 to the end of January 31, 2014 to the following address: Organizing Board of the Contest, Nhan Dan Newspaper, No. 71, Hang Trong, Hanoi or email: bannongnghiep@gmail.com.
The organizing board will award an A prize worth VND20 million; 3 B prizes worth VND15 million/each; 6 C prizes worth VND10 million/each and 10 consolation prizes worth VND2 million/each.
