Ho Chi Minh City, October 31, 2015, PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo – Stock code: DPM, producer and trader of Phu My fertilizer products) officially announced the launch of Phu My Fertilizer scholarship program for 2015-2016 academic year, with the total value up to VND 2 billion, including 364 scholarships.
Accordingly, PVFCCo will award 12 Honour scholarships (worth VND 20 million apiece) and 352 Incentive scholarships (worth VND 5 million apiece). This year, Phu My Fertilizer scholarships are still kept focused on students with excellent academic achievements at universities and colleges across the country, and meet the criteria issued by PVFCCo. Regarding to scholarship recipients, priority students include children of farmers, officers, soldiers in Navy, Coast Guard and Fisheries Resources Surveillance forces directly stationed on the islands, rigs and on duty at sea. Especially, as a new feature of this year’s program, PVFCCo reserves some scholarships for students who are children of agricultural promotion officers and good farmers –forces who having important role in training, promoting, sharing their knowledge and experience in agricultural cultivation, making practical contribution to the new rural construction and helping farmers become wealthy.
On October 29, 2015, PVFCCo has sent the announcement to universities and agencies coordinating in Phu My Fertilizer scholarship program. As expected, the universities and related agencies will carry out the preliminary screening in November 2015, and then PVFCCo will approve and award the Phu My Fertilizer scholarships in December 2015. Phu My Fertilizer scholarship program (formerly DPM scholarship) has become an annual activity of PVFCCo since 2008. This is a program to specify PVFCCo’s commitment on implementing corporate social responsibility for the community, especially for young generation – the future of the country. To date, PVFCCo has awarded 2,500 Phu My Fertilizer scholarships worth 14 billion VND in total, and this program is considered as one of the biggest scholarship programs across the country.
