In the morning of 07/9/2014,PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo) in collaboration with the People’s Committee of Chiem Hoa District, Tuyen Quang Province organized the “Inauguration of Dormitory for Minh Quang Commune Junior HighSchool Pupils” ceremony at Minh Quang Commune, Chiem Hoa District, Tuyen Quang Province.
Attendees of the ceremony included Mr. Nguyen Hong Ha – Vice Chairman of Chiem Hoa District People’s Committee; Mrs. Hoang Thi Thu Hang – Member of PVFCCo North’s BOD and leaders of Minh Quang Commune Junior High School.
The Dormitory for pupils of Minh Quang CommuneJunior High School in Chiem Hoa District, Tuyen Quang Province sponsored by PVFCCo, worth VND2.3 billion with Chiem Hoa District People”s Committee as the Investor was kicked off fromApril,2014, covering an area of 270m2, including 02 blocks, 21 rooms, each containing 8-12 pupils at maximum.
Reportedly, Chiem Hoa is a mountainous district of Tuyen Quang Province with a population of over 126 thousand people, 80% of whom are thee thnic minority people. Minh Quang Commune Junior High School at Chiem Hoa District has approximately 300 pupils, with over 200 of them living in remote are as and away from school and challenged with difficulties in going to school. Thus, PVFCCo’s completion of the Dormitory, helping arrange stable accommodation for more than 200 pupils right on the occasion of the new school year is a very significant event for the school and pupils.
The pupil Dormitory is one of many investment projects in education of PVFCCo,funded with its Social Security Fund. Reportedly, PVFCCo considers education and health as its key areas of investment this year with total sponsorship value of nearly VND75 billion, accounting for more than 80% of its total social security budget in2014.
