In recent years, durian has emerged as one of the most prominent and strategic crops in Tay Nguyen, significantly contributing to Vietnam’s billion-dollar durian export revenue and improving residents’ livelihoods.

With a high-quality product line, comprehensive formulas for various durian growth stages, and close collaboration with the distribution system and orchard owners, NPK Phu My has earned the farmers’ trust in Tay Nguyen for durian cultivation. To reassure farmers and provide them with a deeper understanding of the product and cultivation techniques, PVFCCo has organized numerous field trips for representative farmers to visit the Phu My Fertilizer Plant. Moreover, market representatives and agricultural engineers consistently work alongside farmers to nurture their “billion-dollar” orchards.

In August, when the durian trees were laden with ripe fruits and their rich aroma filled the air, the region buzzed with activity as trucks transported the harvest for export. This year’s bountiful and profitable durian harvest brought great joy to farmers.

In this atmosphere of celebration, intending to promote sustainable development and support farmers in post-harvest orchard recovery, on August 22, 2024, PVFCCo organized a “Meeting of Representative Durian Customers” event in Prong Pak district, Đắk Lắk, the durian capital of the Tây Nguyên region. This special event was dedicated to the “Phú Mỹ farmers” cultivating durian.

A highlight of the event was the presence of Professor Dr. Tran Van Hau, a leading expert in durian, along with experienced agricultural and market experts who shared valuable insights on advanced cultivation methods using Phu My fertilizers. These insights aimed to enhance durian quality, increase farmers’ economic value, and provide updates on fertilizer and durian market trends.

The event brought together over 300 representative farmers from renowned durian-growing regions in Đak Lak who have contributed to the region’s distinctive durian brand.

Under the guidance of leading experts, durian orchard owners, and representatives from NPK Phu My’s production and distribution, participants actively engaged in discussions, shared experiences, and learned about advanced cultivation techniques and optimal NPK Phu My application methods for durian trees, fostering a vibrant and informative atmosphere.
