On 31 October and 01 November 2014, PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo) held a ceremony, in cooperation with the leaders of Quang Binh Province, to inaugurate 2 schools of approximately VND 6 billion in total, to help address the shortage of schools and classrooms in the areas in great difficulties of the Province. Attendees of the inauguration ceremony comprised Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet – member of the provincial Party Committee cum Director of the Construction Department of Quang Binh Province, and Mr. Hoang Dinh Thi – Chief of PVFCCo’s Party Sub-Committee Office.
Both Quang Hoa Primary School in Quang Hoa Commune, Ba Dong Town, with VND 3.5 billion investment capital, inaugurated on 31 October 2014, and Tan Trach Commune Kindergarten, in Bo Trach District, with VND 2.4 billion investment capital, inaugurated on 01 November 2014, were financed from PVFCCo’s Social Security Fund. The projects were commenced in May 2014 by PVFCCo in cooperation with the local government.
Quang Hoa Primary School No. 2 with 2 floors and 6 classrooms and Tan Trach Commune Kindergarten with 1 floor and 2 classrooms, both are completed with gates, fences and playgrounds.The classrooms are fully equipped for students. These completed facilities, already put into use, timely help solve the shortage of schools and classrooms in the areas in difficulties of Quang Binh Province, one of the provinces with thickened impetuous history.
Reportedly, this year, education and healthcare are PVFCCo’s key investments with the total grant of approximately VND 75 billion, accounting for over 80% of PVFCCo’s total social security budget for 2014.
