In the morning of September 17, 2012, it was launched the inauguration ceremony of student dormitory in Pa Vi Commune, Meo Vac District, Ha Giang Province with all cost of construction sponsored by Petrovietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo).
Attending the meeting from Meo Vac District were Mr. Sung Minh Sinh – Secretary of local Party; Mr. Thao Mi Sinh – Chairman of local People’s Council; Mr. Tran Kim Ngoc – Vice Chairman of local People’s Committee; and from PVFCCo were Mr. Bui Minh Tien – Party Secretary cum Chairman of the BOD, Mr. Bui Quang Hung – member of the BOD and Mr. Truong Cong Minh – Director of PVFCCo North.
The project with total values of over 2.1 billion dongs has been constructed for the purpose of accommodating high school students of ethnic minorities in special difficult circumstances, helping them with a stable living place to study and limiting dropouts. This is the 2nd dormitory project sponsored by PVFCCo in Meo Vac District. Also in the ceremony, PVFCCo had awarded 300 portions of gift (100,000VND/portion) including notebooks and moon cakes for pupils of ethnic minorities in Pa Vi Commune, Meo Vac District.
The project is part of the social welfare planning of PVFCCo in September and particularly in Ha Giang Province, PVFCCo has supported 8.63 billion dongs for local activities of social welfare. Previously, in September 14, 2012, PVFCCo in collaboration with Viet Philanthropic Fund held a ceremony awarding 52 scholarships and 273 portions of gift (including warm clothes and school-bags) to local pupils at Minh Tan Commune, Vi Xuyen District, Ha Giang Province, supported teachers community and organized the Mid-Autumn Festivals for pupils in B Minh Tan Primary School. Total values of the program were reaching 115 million dongs.
