From 6 through 7 November 2014, at the Youth Cultural House – Vung Tau City, the Trade Union of Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group hosted the Excellent PetroVietnam Trade Union Officer Contest for the first time in 2014.
The Excellent PetroVietnam Trade Union Officer Contest aims at introducing, promoting employee policies, raising awareness, improving skills of Trade Union officers in performing their tasks, actively contributing to better implementation of benefit policies for employees of member companies.
The contest is also an opportunity for trade union officers to demonstrate their extensive capabilities, learn from and share practical experiences, knowledge in trade union activities for better performance, contributing to good development of trade unions.
A total of 28 candidates from 19 trade unions directly under the Trade Union of Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group participated in three contests: eloquence, questions and answers, role play. Ms. Tran Thi Thu Huong – representing PVFCCo South East in the contest won the third prize. In addition, the organizer awarded the second prize to PVFCCo’s fan team.
On this occasion, Vietnam General Confederation of Labour awarded the Certificates of Merit and Commemorative Medals for “the cause of Vietnam’s trade union development” to excellent trade union officers in recognition of their contributions. Ms. Chu Lan Phuong – Phu My Fertilizer Plant’s Safety – Protection Division was honored to win the merit this time.
