In September 19, 2012, PVFCCo in collaboration with local authorities of Hung Dien Commune, Vinh Hung District, Long An Province handed over 50 “Great Unity” houses to poor families in the region.
Awarding “Great Unity” houses to poor families at Long An Province is part of the program of PVFCCo – “Charity house for the poor in bordering area” – in collaboration with Fatherland Front Committee and local Border Guard Command with total sponsor of 1 billion dong to construct 50 houses for poor families at Vinh Hung District – a border district of Long An Province with many existing difficulties.
This project has belonged to the “Great Unity” Housing Program for the poor in accordance with the Government’s Program 167 and been one annual activity to share and support entities with difficult conditions as well as sticks to the commitment of PVFCCo to act for the community. It is known that in 2012, PVFCCo will spend 29 billion dongs from the Social Welfare Fund to construct about 1,738 Great Unity houses in 16 provinces. The program has improved living conditions of thousands poor families over the country.
