On October 10, 2012, in My Ly Commune, Ky Son District , PVFCCo, Petrovietnam Construction Investment Consultant Joint Stock Company (PCIC) in collaboration with People’s Committee of Ky Son District inaugurated the medical aid station at My Ly Commune, Ky Son District, Nghe An Province.
The construction of medical aid station was started on February 23, 2012 with investment values of 4.8 billion dongs. This amount was deducted from Social Welfare Fund in 2012 of PVFCCo. The medical aid station project was completed and put into operations for the purpose of serving local people in primary health care and bringing My Ly Commune a new look in local daily life through constructing medical center met the national demands.
My Ly Commune is known as a mountainous region with special difficulties in Nghe An Province, 60 kilometers away from the center of Ky Son District; there are 12 villages at the Commune with 5,000 people (mostly Thai, Mong and Kho Mu peoples) and 46 kilometers adjacent to Lao’s border. Not only serving health care needs of local people, the medical aid station also serves people at border communes of Muang Et District, Houaphan Province of Lao.
Medical aid station of My Ly Commune is one of PVFCCo’s annual social activities supporting the community in constructing educational and healthcare projects. In 2012, PVFCCo will spend about 57.5 billion dongs from the Social Welfare Fund to construct about 16 educational and healthcare projects over the country.
