Petrotimes – Recently, at the October press conference, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said that Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group has exceeded multiple business targets for October and 10 months.
The oil and gas production both domestic and oversea went on safe and stable. Total production output of oil equivalent reached 2.26 million tons in October and 21.59 million tons in 10 months, up by 10.7% over the same period of 2011.
Of which, the oil production output was 1.5 million tons in October and 13.9 million tons in 10 months, up by 12.2% year on year, the gas production output reached 0.6 billion m3 in October and 7.5 billion m3 in 10 months, up by 5.9% year on year.
By the end of September, the field exploration and development activities have been conducted for 11/14 of seismic explosion projects with the total volume of over 8,144 km2 of 2D seismic and 9,607 km2 of 3D seismic.
The appraisal activities were successful with field structure of Ca Voi Xanh, Bao Vang fields as well as putting Lan Do into operation and production. Thus, from the beginning of year until now, 6 fields/works have been in operation and the ceremony to welcome the first oil barrel from Junin 2 field– Venezuela was held.
The oil and gas processing activities of Dung Quat Oil Refinery have been stable. Its output products were estimated to reach 528.4 thousand tons in October and 4.38 million tons in 10 months, increasing by 1.2% of the annual plan. As at 22/10, its sales volume reached 4.31 million tons, including 3.9 million tons of petrol and oil.
To ensure fulfillment of the annual plan, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has proposed that the oil and gas industry should maintain tight control of oil and gas activities in the East Sea, closely monitoring exploration and appraisal activities of wells, urging, instructing oil and gas contractors to ensure the approved production output, strictly inspecting and supervising safe operations of Dung Quat Oil Refinery and the gas pipelines system.
