On October 12 in Hanoi, the Vietnam Confederation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) solemnly held the Celebration of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs’ Day on October 13 and honored typical Vietnamese Entrepreneurs in 2022. The highlight of the ceremony was honoring and awarding the title of “Typical Vietnamese Entrepreneur in 2022” to 60 businessmen, including 10 people who were honored in the TOP10 “Most Typical Vietnamese Entrepreneurs of 2022”.

Mr. Pham Tan Cong – Chairman of VCCI said, “Vietnam Entrepreneurs Day has been called by many entrepreneurs the Entrepreneur New Year, this year the Entrepreneur New Year is more fun because the business community has just overcome the Covid-19 pandemic, there are many businesses recover and grow well. In particular, this year, VCCI held a review and was awarded the title of Typical Vietnamese Entrepreneur on October 13 with very good results, selecting typical faces. VCCI hopes and believes that the awardees will become examples of spreading entrepreneurial ethics and business culture in the Vietnamese business and business community.

In total, the businesses of these 60 entrepreneurs in 2021 have a revenue of over  1.2 million billion VND, equity of over 722 trillion VND, pay nearly 148 trillion VND to the state budget, and a profit after tax of over 70 thousand billion VND and the number of employees is over 251 thousand people. These are entrepreneurs who are leading and managing businesses of all economic sectors, ranging in size from very large to small and medium enterprises.

Currently, Vietnam has nearly 900,000 operating businesses, about 14,400 cooperatives, and more than 5 million business households. Along with the strong growth in number, Vietnamese enterprises have constantly developed and improved in terms of capital, revenue, profit, and labor use efficiency; demonstrating its role as a key force in managing and organizing production resources, creating goods and services for society, promoting growth and socio-economic development of the country.
