On April 23, PetroVietnam (PVN) and Ca Mau Gas-Power-Fertilizer Project Management Board (CPMB) signed the test acceptance certificate, taking over Ca Mau Fertilizer Plantfrom Wuhan contractor(China)
The above information is revealed by Mr. Le Manh Hung, Head of CPMB in the afternoon of 22 April.
Accordingly, the State Test Acceptance Councilwould review, put Ca MauFertilizer Plantinto official operation phase, launching granular urea underCa mau Urea Brand to the market, afternearly 46 months of construction, installation and trial operation.
Ca MauFertilizer Plant Projecthas beenundertaken byCa Mau Gas-Power-Fertilizer Project Management Board, is a national key project deployed by Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam).
The Plantwas built onan area of about62ha atAnKhanh Commune (U Minh district, Ca Mau Province), with adesign capacityof 800,000 tons of urea/year, applying the most advanced technology in Southeast Asiaregion.
The Plant released its first commercial product on January 29, 2012, after 42 months of construction. As of 21 April, Ca MauFertilizer Planthas fulfilledrequirementsof the projectand put into stable production, reaching100% of capacity. After the trial operationstage, up to now totalcommercial productshave reachednearly 100,000tons, with55,000 tons already launched to the market.
