At 14h30 on January 01, 2013, Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper held a press conference to announce the results of the second writing contest on Agriculture – Farmers – Rural areas in 2012.
Attending the press conference were Mr. Thinh Giang – Deputy Editor-in-chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Mr. Phan Huy Hien – Head of the contest’s Organizing Board cum Head of the Nhan Dan Newspaper’s Agricultural Committee, from PVFCCo – the sponsor of the contest was Mr. Le Van Quoc Viet – Deputy General Manager, representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture – Farners – Rural Areas and the Vietnam Farmers’ Association together with numerous reporters and journalists.
This is the second writing contest held. It was launched for the purpose of bringing into life the Resolutions of the 7th Meeting of the 10th Party Central Committee on agriculture, farmers and rural areas. At the conference, the contest’s report showed that articles submitted to the contest this year had rich and diverse content reflecting an animated picture of rural life and economy – society such as agricultural production models in accordance with market mechanisms, development of rural infrastructure, agricultural credit, examples and typical models in building new rural areas. These articles’ quality was estimated better than ones of the first contest but it needs overcome some shortcomings as little articles on the spiritual life of the farmers, the change of rural culture in the new era…
After half a year of launch and implementation as well as one month of serious and urgent work, the organizing board has chosen the article named “Bam bien lam giau” (Cling to sea to get rich) by the group of Le Duc Nghia, Minh Tri and Trinh Ke for the A prize. Besides, three B prizes, five C prizes and ten consolation prizes have been selected out of hundreds of contributions. All these articles were published in Nhan Dan publications (daily, online, weekend…)
The awards ceremony and launch of the 2013’s contest will take place at 20h on January 01, 2013 and will be broadcast live on VTV1 channel.
