The training was conducted by Mr. Phan Viet Ha, PhD. – Western Highlands Agriculture & Forestry Science Institute, and Mr. Le Van Sang – Vice Director of the Agricultural Promotion Center of Binh Dinh Province.
In the training workshop, Mr. Phan Viet Ha enthusiastically shared his knowledge on typical soil types, fertilizers and crops suitable for the Highlands region and provided guidance on cultivation techniques of selected key industrial crops such as coffee, rubber, pepper and avocado; Mr. Le Van Sang presented the cultivation practice and techniques applicable to selected crops suitable for the coastal highlands region such as rice, corn, watermelon and peanut. Thanks to the training, PVFCCo Central’s staff was equipped with basic knowledge on Agricultural Techniques, which filled them with confidence in their consulting and technical supports to the local farmers and dealers.
Furthermore, the trainees were briefed by the representative of PVFCCo’s Marketing & Communications Division on new issues stated in Decree No. 202 and Circular No. 29 regarding fertilizer production and trading, and simultaneously, guidance on fertilizer sampling, bag sealing, storage and dispatch to required analysis and testing centers in accordance with related legal regulations was given. The said Division also shared their knowledge on Phu My fertilizers, marketing – sales in the current market situation. Integrated games such as “Rich farmers – golfing” and brand name puzzles, aiming at the attending farmers, were conducted to enrich the workshop activities and enhance its attraction towards the trainees. The training was carried out vibrantly, with discussions and questions on fertilizers, tricky situations frequently encountered in workshop organization and in dealing with farmers and customers.
After the training, the trainees were equipped with additional specialized knowledge about fertilizers, crops, legal regulations related to fertilizer production and trading, marketing, sales,… so as to enhance their sales and marketing tasks.
