(PetroTimes) – On September 27, 2024, at the Phu My Fertilizer Plant’s conference hall (PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation – PVFCCo), the plant’s trade union organized the 11th Skilled Worker Competition in the field of plant operations.

Mr. Duong Duy Thuong, Chairman of the Plant’s Trade Union and Head of the Competition Organizing Committee, stated that the Skilled Worker Competition is a practical activity aimed at enhancing the vocational skills of the plant’s staff, providing knowledge for workers involved in the operation and maintenance of the Phu My Fertilizer Plant. This event also serves to honor the skills and contributions of skilled workers, while reflecting the spirit of unity, learning, and continuous development within the staff.

Mr. Nguyen Nhu Son, Head of the Plant’s Shift Team participating in the competition (from Shift 2), shared that once the plant announced the competition, the team began planning for participation, including preparing personnel, assigning roles for reviewing old knowledge, researching documents, and gaining new insights. The preparation process lasted about three months. “Everyone prepared seriously and diligently. Now, we are all very confident in participating in the competition,” Mr. Son said.

The competition featured four teams from the operational shifts of the Phu My Fertilizer Plant. The teams went through five competition segments: Greeting, Startup, Overcoming Obstacles, Accelerating, and a segment on Target Completion. The questions in these segments covered a wide range of topics, from equipment technology and operational tasks to handling incidents, product quality, and coordination processes.

Overall, the teams completed their segments well, demonstrating their serious preparation for the competition as well as the strong knowledge, skills, and experience of the plant’s operational staff.

Mr. Nguyen Van Nhung, Deputy Director in charge of production and Head of the Evaluation Committee, evaluated the competition positively.

As a representative of the plant’s leadership, Mr. Nguyen Van Nhung stated that this year’s Skilled Worker Competition was successfully organized, providing not only an opportunity for skilled workers to showcase their talents but also a chance to share knowledge, experience, and improve professional skills for the entire team. More importantly, the competition encourages bonding, integrates PVFCCo’s culture into daily life, and enhances team spirit and seamless cooperation among staff in the shift.

He expressed hope that after the competition, the participating teams would continue to inspire a culture of continuous learning across their units, striving to exceed production targets.

• Second Prize: Shift 1 Team
• Third Prize: Shift 3 Team
• Encouragement Prize: Shift 4 Team
• Outstanding Contestant: Phan Tan Dai Hung – Shift 1 Team

The Encouragement Prize was awarded to the Shift 4 Team.

The Third Prize was presented to the Shift 3 Team.

The Second Prize was awarded to the Shift 1 Team.

The plant’s leadership presented the First Prize to the Shift 2 Team.

Mr. Le Trong Dinh Chi, Director of the Plant, awarded the Outstanding Contestant prize to Phan Tan Dai Hung from the Shift 1 Team.
