On the morning of January 17, 2013, PVFCCo held a Review conference on Safety, Health and Environment 2012 at PVFCCo’s headquarter, Number 43, Mac Dinh Chi Street, Da Kao Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.
Attending the conference were Mr. Le Hong Thai – Head of Safety, Health and Environment Department of PetroVietnam (PVN), representatives from Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs and PetroVietnam Insurance Joint Stock Corporation, from PVFCCo were Mr. Cao Hoai Duong – President & CEO, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien – Vice Chairwoman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Hoang Viet Dung – vice President, Mr. Tong Xuan Phong – Chairman of the Trade Union as well as many representatives from PVFCCo’s divisions and subsidiaries.
After Vice President Hoang Viet Dung‘s opening statements, the representative of the Management Board, Mr. Le Cong Thanh – Head of PVFCCo’s Safety, Health and Environment Department presented his report summarizing Safety, Health and Environment activities in 2012. His report’s content was highly appreciated by Mr. Cao Hoai Duong, as it objectively pointed out, along with the achievements, the minor but important shortcomings to be corrected in 2013. Particularly on behalf of the Board of Directors and PVFCCo’s employees, Mr. Cao Hoai Duong expressed heartfelt thanks to PVN’s leaders’ attention to the company, specifically directly to Mr. Le Hong Thai – Head of PVN’s Safety, Health and Environment Department for close follow-up, direction, advices on necessary corrections as well as promotion of creativity in fire prevention activities in 2013, which in particular is an important task for a high-tech, complex and potential of risks such as Phu My Fertilizer Plant.
The good news is that in 2012, PVFCCo did not let occur any serious accidents, and in 2013, PVFCCo will thoroughly implement safety regulations, apply creative methods such as contests to diffuse and propagate policies, legal documents on safety to all employees.
To encourage practices, PVFCCo’s leaders have decided to reward 15 teams and 30 individuals for outstanding achievements in Safety, Health and Environment activities in 2012.
