In the morning of October 2, 2015, at PVFCCo’s head office, the Youth Union of PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo) collaborated with the Youth Unions of other PVN companies – PV EIC, PV Drillings, PVCombank – to organize the Humanitarian Blood Donation 2015.
The program won enthusiastic support and participation from leaders and employees of PVFCCo as well as its members: PVFCCo SE, PVFCo SBD, PVFCCo Branch in HCMC, PVFCCo Branch of Fertilizer and Petroleum Project Management and other participating units. Consequently, the Blood donation event collected approximately 100 blood units for the Hematology Center of Cho Ray Hospital in HCMC.
The voluntary blood donation program is annually organized by PVFCCo’s Youth Union to reflect a core principle of PVFCCo’s corporate culture – “Sharing responsibility”. With the slogan “Humanitarian Blood Donation – Noble Action”, the program always attracts participation from a lot of PVFCCo staff.
Reportedly, the voluntary blood donation movement around the country has recently won increasing attention and participation from many municipalities, agencies, organizations and individuals. However, the annually donated blood only meets 70% of the blood demand.
