PVFCCo”s task force visits Spratly Islands

On 12/5/2014, the task force of Petrovietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo) came back to Ho Chi Minh City, successfully ended 10-day business trip to Spratly Islands (03 – 12/5/2014). PVFCCo joined the task force No. 10 led by Mr. Dinh Van Son – member of PVN”s Board of Directors, member of Executive Committee of PVN’s Veterans Association as the Leader; Colonel Bui Van Thiet – Director of Logistics Department of Navy Command, as Deputy Leader of the task force. PVFCCo”s delegation was led by Mr. Nguyen Hong Vinh – member of BOD. The delegation also included representatives of Navy Command, PVN’s Veterans Association, Vietinbank and some other units together with many reporters.

During the trip, the delegation visited, encouraged and presented gifts to officials, soldiers and residents working and living in Spratly Islands, including: Da Lon (A, B, C), Son Ca, Nam Yet, Sinh Ton Dong, Colin, Phan Vinh (A and B), Da Tay C and Spratly, two rigs DK1/7 (Huyen Tran) and DK1/18 (Phuc Tan); visiting graves of soldiers killed in action on islands, as well as commemorating martyrs died on Gac Ma island and DK1 rigs. The delegation also participated in the inauguration ceremony for the ceramic painting on Spratly island with the theme “Spratly – Vietnam”s strength”, multi-purpose Culture House and 4 fresh water constructions on Spratly Islands.

According to reports of the Steering Committee of units in service on islands and DK1 rigs,  despite many difficulties, thanks to attention of the Party, the State, Ministry of Defense, departments, agencies and people nationwide, living conditions of officials, soldiers and residents on islands and rigs have gradually been improved; our officials and soldiers have well fulfilled their tasks, always on high morale, strictly complying with policies and strategies of the Party and the State on preserving and protecting the sea and island sovereignty, developing the marine economy closely associated with national security and defense.

PVFCCo’s task force enthusiastically participated in general activities of the delegation, especially in exchange with officials and soldiers on islands and DK1 rigs, leaving good impressions.
