During 4-6 July, a team of PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation led by Mr. Tong Xuan Phong – Chairman of Trade Union, and Central Committee of Vietnam Red Cross Society jointly visited and provided emergency aid to victims suffering from serious damage caused by flash floods and landslides at the end of June 2018 in Lai Chau Province.
The team donated VND 197 million from PVFCCo employees’ contribution and co-ordinated with Red Cross Association of Lai Chau province in providing this aid to the victims. Specifically, at Phong Tho District, PVFCCo offerred VND 3 million/each to 23 households, whose houses have been completely collapsed; VND 2 million/each to 19 households whose houses were 50-70% damaged; At Muong Nhe district, VND 40 million was donated to Phin Kho primary school of Mu Ca commune, and VND 25 million/each to Kindergarten school of Na Hu Village and Primary school of Nam Cum Village, Bum Nua Commune.
The team also visited some households at Sin Chai Village, Sin Lo Lau Commune, Phong Tho District, Lai Chau Province. Mr. Tong Xuan Phong conveyed heartfelt regards and kind hearts of PVFCCo’s employees to the victims and hoped that they would soon overcome consequences of floods and get back to their stable life.
