Following the successful business trip and training at International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) in Philippines, from 24 June to 27 June 2014, Petrovietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo) continued to organize a business trip and training at Indonesian Center for Food Crops Research and Development – ICFORD. The delegation consisted of 34 representatives as the leaders of Agriculture Departments, Agricultural Encouragement Stations, Plant Protection Departments and excellent farmers from 18 cities and provinces nationwide.
In Indonesia, the delegation paid visits to Indonesian Center for Food Crops Research and Development – ICFORD (Bogor) and Indonesian Center for Rice Research – ICRR (Sulawasi) for training and sharing its experiences. In these centers, the delegation was introduced the overview of Centers’ foundation and development history and their contribution to the Indonesian agriculture by the Head Professors, Academicians, Heads of the subsidiary centers. The delegation took opportunity to learn the rice and food crops production cooperation program between the centers and other Asian countries, especially the applications shared from Vietnam such as “Cultivating flowers on rice field edges” ecological rice cultivation of the farmers in the West of Vietnam. The delegation also visited the facilities, technique achievements and the test fields of the Centers.
Apart from the main schedule at ICFORD and ICRR, the delegation also spent time learning and visiting many historical and cultural landscapes in Jakarta.
