In the afternoon of June 07, 2017, at Phu MyFertilizerPlant, the leaders ofPetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemical Corporation (PVFCCo, security code: DPM) had a meeting with the delegation of Lao Securities Commission Office (LSCO) and Lao Stock Exchange (LSX) via the connectionof Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HOSE).

Among the attendants, from PVFCCo, there were Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien – Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, Official Spokeswoman of PVFCCo, Mr. Nguyen Van Tong – Vice President, and IR Team; from HOSE, there was Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Linh – Deputy Director in charge of Listing Review and Management; from  LSCO, there were Mr. Siosavath Thirakul – Vice Chief Secretary, and Ms. Alounna Sivongthong – Deputy Director of Security Monitoring Department; andfromLSX, there was Mr. Vanhkham Voravong – General Director, along with  representatives of listed companies on LSX such as EDL-Generation Public Company (EDL-Gen), Banque Pour Le Commerce Exterieur Lao Public (BCEL), and Souvanny Home Center Public (SVN).

At the meeting, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien presented a general introduction ofPVFCCo and fundamentals of the company management, PVFCCo”s compliance with information disclosure and transparency provisions, and investor relation (IR) activities of PVFCCo. In the discussion, PVFCCo exchanged its practical experience in implementing IR activities, listing and announcing information on HOSE stock market, and improving stockliquidity, etc.; simultaneously, provided further information on the dividend policy, strategy in response to gas price fluctuation, and medium-term and long-term development strategyof PVFCCo. 

At the end of the meeting, the Lao Delegation sent the best regards to the warm welcome and helpful experience that PVFCCo has shared at the meeting. Representatives of the Delegation highly appreciated the results of this meeting, noting that this would be a meaningful start for the mutual exchanging and sharing relationship in the fields of security trading and corporate management for listed companies in two neighboring countries, Vietnam and Laos.

Immediately after the meeting, the Delegation had a visit to Phu My Fertilizer Plant and Phu My NPK-NH3 Complex Project that is under construction phase and due to be completed by the end of 2017.

As far as we know, Laos has got only one security exchange, LSX, with 05 listed companies and an average capitalized value of 10 billion USD.
