On the afternoon of 12 July 2019, the PVFCCo Tower firefighting team, HCMC Police Department of Fire Fighting and Prevention, and Da Kao Ward Public Security organized a fire and rescue drill to enhance skills of handling fire and rescue situations for the firefighting team and officers, workers working at PVFCCo Tower.
During this drill, the highlight turned out to be the local firefighting force, who had mastered and proficiently used the available firefighting equipment to handle the situations before the professional firefighting force provided assistances. The fire drill was successfully conducted, no negligence occurred, even the small one. The local firefighting force has shown their professionalism, and the awareness of fire prevention and fighting of officers, workers working in the building has also been improved.
In the past period, within Ho Chi Minh City and nationwide, many fires had occurred and caused severe damage to both property and human life. It is essential to conduct periodic fire drills at high buildings such as PVFCCo Tower.
