In order to perform well the task of Fire Prevention and Fighting (FPF) and enhance the coordination of firefighting and rescue skills between professional and local firefighting forces, in the afternoon of 22 May 2019, South-West PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals JSC (PVFCCo SW) cooperated with the Police Department of Fire Fighting and Prevention, Ninh Kieu District, Can Tho City to organized a firefighting and rescue training at the Company”s head office.
The hypothetical situation is that the fire occurs at 3:30 pm in the meeting room on the ground floor, the inflammables are mainly wooden tables and chairs, synthetic resin, electrical equipment, etc. The cause of the fire is a short-circuit, and since the fire is surrounded by many flammable materials, it rapidly developed and covered the entire meeting room, and there is a risk that the fire was going to spread around the room if it was not promptly treated. There are 12 members of the firefighting and protection team working in functional departments. At the time that the fire started, there were more than 30 officials and employees working at the Company”s head office, assuming that there were 3 victims needed to be rescue due to smoke inhalation and poisonous gases created from the fire.
