In an effort to diversify its sources of supply to meet farmers’ demand in the coming Winter-Spring crop, PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo) has proactively imported a variety of fertilizer products. By the end of October, 2014, a total of 25,000 tons of potassium, including 12,500 tons of powder potassium and 12,500 tons of fragmented potassium was imported by PVFCCo from Russia. They are the first Phu My Potassium batches in new packaging design style with much innovation to help enhance the brand identity and facilitate farmers’ use.
As soon as imported, 1,000 tons of Phu My Potassium in powder was promptly delivered to the market in Central Vietnam in support of the local crop, and the remainder would be launched to Southeast region market (powder Phu My Potassium) and Southwest region market (granular Phu My Potassium) for consumption.
Since early this year, PVFCCo has proactively imported hundreds of thousands of tons of high quality fertilizer from EU, South Korea, etc. in which the potassium alone made up 100,000 tons. PVFCCo’s import of fertilizers this time, together with its current traditional Phu My Urea product, enables the Company to deliver its complete range of Phu My high quality fertilizer products to farmers, helps meet the requirements on nutrient ingredients of each and every kind of crop for each growth phase.
