In the afternoon of 23 December 2014, PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo) successfully organized the conference summarizing Party activities, Production and Business activities in 2014, deployment of 2015 plans and Worker Conference 2015.

Attendees of the conference  included leaders of PetroVietnam: Mr. Nguyen Quoc Khanh –Deputy Secretary of  Party Committee, BOD Member and President & CEO of PVN; Mr. Pham Xuan Canh – Standing Deputy Secretary of PVN’s Party Committee, and other BOD members, representatives of PVN’s Trade Union, Divisions and subsidiaries. Representatives of  PVFCCo included Mr. Le Cu Tan – Secretary of PVFCCo’s Party Committee and  BOD Chairman, Mr. Cao Hoai Duong – member of PVN’s Party Executive Committee, PVFCCo’s BOD member cum President & CEO, together with other representatives of Party”s Standing Committee, BOD, Management Board, Trade Union’s Executive Committee, Youth Union, War Veterans Association, committees, leaders of PVFCCo’s Divisions and subsidiaries and 123 representatives of member companies.

 Mr. Le Cu Tan briefed the Conferenceon Party activities in 2014, plans and assignments to be deployed in 2015. In 2014, PVFCCo’s Party Committee and Leaders have promptly directed and instructed PVFCCo to successfully fulfill 2014 tasks in every respect. The task of building the Party has been implemented in a well-orchestrated way, reformed continuously, enhancing the leadership role of Party organizations at all levels. The studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh and the implementation of the Resolution of Central Party Committee 4, Directive No. 30-CT / TW of the Politburo have been strengthened. In 2015, PVFCCo’s Party Committee determines to undertake and well fulfill the key political mission of successful organization of its Party Congress at all levels; continue leading and directing PVFCCo to successfully achieve the 2015 plans.

Regarding the 2014 business results, President & CEO Cao Hoai Duong reaffirmed that despite many economic challenges, PVFCCo strived to achieve proud results, completed and exceeded most of majortargets, reached outstanding achievements in 2014 such as: completing the production targets 21 daysahead of schedule, reaching expected output of 845,000 tonnes of Phu My Urea for the whole year 2014, with trading volume reachingover 1,2 million tonnes of all fertilizers, making qualitative progress in project deployment, chemicals development, reaffirming its brand in petrochemical sector. “Thanks to the close direction and significant support of PVN and other subsidiaries that  PVFCCo have achieved these successes in 2014. The input gas sources have sufficiently met the maximum production capacity of Phu My Fertilizer Plant. Thequality and Phu My Urea brandnamehavewonthe trust of fellow farmers. The tradition of solidarity, creative labor as well the devoted contributions of all personel played important roles in helping PVFCCo implement and complete production and business targets assigned by PVN.” Mr. Cao Hoai Duong emphasized.

The Conference saw Mr. Tong Xuan Phong – Chairman of PVFCCo’s Trade Union delivering the report of the Trade Union Executive committee on deployment and organization of Worker Conferences of all levels; the implementation outcome of the Resolution of 2014 Worker Conference; monitoring the collective bargaining agreement and benefit regimes and policies for labourers. The Conference also heard the report on application of2014 Welfare- Rewarding Fund and plan forusing Welfare – Rewarding Fund in 2015; the 2014 results and 2015 plan of implementation of regimes and policies relating to benefits and rights of labourers. The report also stated the adoption of the voting for labourers’ representatives to participate in regular dialogues with PVFCCo’s leaders, responses to the collective requests…

Some key missions and plans of PVFCCo in 2015 include deploying the production and business assignments safely, effectively, economically; operating the plants safely, stably, assuring product quality, successfully carrying out the 2015 periodical plant maintenance on schedule, deploying projects properly on schedule, developing chemical market…In order to contribute suggestions, advices and solutions to successfully complete 2015 tasks, representatives of member companies delivered 4 presentations on: the role of Party Committee in providing directions on PVFCCo SE restructure; Experience drawn from incidents in plant operation in 2014; Innovation in marketing, communication  and customer care; PVFCCo’s strategic chemical projects.

Addressing the conference, PVN’s General Director Nguyen Quoc Khanh highly appreciated and praised all the  leaders and personel of PVFCCo on theirenthusiasmand efforts to overcome difficulties and challenges to achieve outstanding results, contributing to the overallsuccess of PVN in 2014.Mr. Nguyen Quoc Khanh said that given the drastic oil price slump, the petroleum section would experiemce some difficulties in the time to come. He requested PVFCCo to closely monitor the progress, perceive any difficulties, challenges, then forecast and cope with market fluctuations; optimize production and business efficiency, focus on plant maintenance safety and schedule, speed up on-going projects; especially to save costs, reduce intermediaries, supply fertilizers to farmers in the fastest way, expand market share, develop its brand and maintain its leading position in the fertilizer industry. He reminded PVFCCo: “PVFCCo’s products should become familiar, near and dear to fellow farmers. On the one hand, these products serve the farmers just like other kinds of products, but on the other hand, they represent the responsibility and caring of the oil and gas industry towards the national agriculture and farmers nationawide”.

On behalf of PVFCCo’s leadership and personnel, Mr. Le Cu Tan – Secretary of PVFCCo’s Party Committee and BOD Chairman, expressed his sincere thanks and seriously received the guidance of the PVN’s President & CEO, undertaking that PVFCCo would be united as a whole to make best effort to successfully complete the political missions and production and business targets in 2015.

At the conference, teams and individuals with outstanding achievements were honored to receive the various noble rewards. PVFCCo’s Trade Union was granted with the emulation flag for “Strong grass-root trade union with outstanding movement” by Vietnam General Confederation of Labour. 10 teams and 8 individuals received Certificates of Merit from PVFCCo’s President & CEO for their outstanding achievements during the movement and significant contributions to production and business activities. The teams earning the title “Typical Transparent and Strong Team of the year 2014” were awarded the Certificates of Merit from the PVFCCo’s Party Committee.

Especially, through the strictest, unbiased voting process, PVFCCo has selected the best teams and employees for the titles “Team of the year” and “Employee of the year” for teams, managers, executives in production division, trading division and support division. The results are as follows:
