In the evening of 27 March 2015, at Phu My Fertilizer Plant, PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (“PVFCCo”) successfully organized the 2nd Conference on Good Models for the 2015-2020 period and summarized the 2014 movement of technical initiatives and innovations.
Participants of the Conference included representatives of Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (“PVN”) such as Mr. Le Minh Hong – Member of the Standing Board of the Party Committee, PVN’s Vice President, Mr. Tran Ngoc Dung – Vice Chairman of PVN’s Trade Union, representatives of PVN’s divisions and departments, representatives of PVFCCo including Le Cu Tan – Secretary of Party Committee, PVFCCo’s Chairman, Mr. Cao Hoai Duong – Member of PVN’s Party Committee Executive Board, Standing Deputy Secretary of Party Committee, President & CEO and members of the Party Committee, Board of Directors, Board of Management, Standing Board of Party Committee, political and social organizations of PVFCCo, leaders and key officers of PVFCCo’s functional divisions and member companies, and especially 40 exemplary models and typical groups and individuals in the movement to promote technical initiatives and innovations of PVFCCo.
At the Conference, Mr. Cao Hoai Duong presented a summary report on the patriotic emulation movement, commendation and rewarding for the 2010 – 2015 period and direction and missions for the 2015 – 2020 period. The report was delivered in the form of short film, providing an overall and vivid picture of PVFCCo’s patriotic emulation movement and rewards in the past 5 years.
During the 5-year period from 2010 to 2015, PVFCCo has recorded proud achievements in all aspects. Such achievements have originated from the constant and tireless efforts of PVFCCo’s leadership and personnel. The factor driving and motivating employees to work enthusiastically, devotedly and obtain proud achievements in the past years is the movement of patriotic emulation. Particularly, for the period 2010-2015, such motivation is even closer and stronger. Emulation movements are always associated with production and business tasks of member companies. Emulation really becomes a driving force for sustainable development of each member company in particular and of PCFCCo in general. In the 2015-2020 period, PVFCCo proposes many solutions to help the movements of patriotic emulation, technical initiatives and innovations, and the commendation rewarding emulation to become even more creative, practical and effective.
At the conference, participants listened to presentations on the experience lessons to improve exemplary models and promote the emulation movement throughout PVFCCo such as: “The role of the trade union in emulation movements” presented by Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hung – Vice Chairman of PVFCCo’s Trade Union; “The movement for technical innovations and production optimization at Phu My Fertilizer Plant” presented by Mr. Le Trong Dinh Chi – Deputy Director of the Plant; “Fertilizer business emulation movement in the current difficult situation and solutions to respond in the coming time” presented by Mr. Nguyen Pham Trung – Deputy Chief of PVFCCo’s Fertilizer Division.
These efforts and outstanding achievements of the teams and individuals over the past years have been recognized by many honor awards of the President, the Prime Minister and PVN’s President and CEO. Third Class Labor Medals were awarded to three individuals, namely Mr. Cao Hoai Duong – President & CEO; Mr. Nguyen Ba Hung – Supervisor in Quality Control Department of Phu My Fertilizer Plant; Mr. Nguyen Duc Vu – Head of processing and fabrication workshop – Phu My Fertilizer Plant; Merit Certificates of the Prime Minister were awarded to 02 teams and 12 individuals, merit certificates of PVN were awarded to 05 individuals and Initiative Certificates at PVN’s level were awarded to 06 individuals. Particularly, 40 typical examples in the emulation movement of the last 5 years were honored in the Conference. They are normal and quiet workers with high sense of responsibility, enthusiasm and devoted to the development of PVFCCo.
Also at the Conference, PVFCCo announced the results of response to the call of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour and PetroVietnam Trade Union by PVFCCo’s employees to make donations to the construction of works commemorating soldiers of Vietnam People”s Navy sacrificing their life in the Johnson Reef (Gac Ma) naval battle. Accordingly, on 21 March 2015, the executive committee of PVFCCo”s Trade Union called and urged all employees of PVFCCo to contribute funds to build Johnson Reef Soldiers Memorial. Over 1 week of the campaign, all personnel of PVFCCo contributed VND 280 million in total. In addition, the sum from auction sale of the painting on the theme “PVFCCo Women and the homeland seas and islands” – a creative and inspiring art work performed by the skillful hands of Anh Dao Nursery School”s teachers and PVFCCo-SBD”s ladies in the contest “Talent Search” on the occasion of International Women”s Day 08 March was contributed to the campaign. The painting was made of grain, beans and nuts, etc. farmers’ products nourished with Phu My Fertilizer – and symbols of sovereignty to the homeland island, with the image of a soldier of Vietnam People”s Navy with his gun firmly in hand standing next to Vietnam sovereignty landmark, and far away is the image of a woman and others in the rear looking towards the homeland islands with confidence and desire to contribute to protecting the island homeland sovereignty. After several rounds of severe competition, the highest bid of VND 80 million belonged to the coalition of trade unions of PVFCCo North, PVFCCo Central, PVFCCo South East, PVFCCo South West, Phu My Fertilizer Plant, and Dam Phu My Packaging Joint Stock Company. As a result, the raised fund of PVFCCo was VND 360 million in total.
Addressing the conference, on behalf of PVN”s management, Mr. Le Minh Hong – Member of the Standing Board, PVN’s Vice President praised the success of the conference and the achievements obtained in PVFCCo”s patriotic emulation movement. This is a significant event in the chain of PVN”s conferences on the Good Models and patriotic emulation with the vision to the Congress throughout PVN. He warmly congratulated teams and individuals winning honor rewards for many significant initiatives with high benefit by the leadership. He evaluated that the patriotic emulation serving as the motivation, leverage and initiatives of PVFCCo”s employees will result in the prominent creativity and success of PVFCCo, making PVFCCo”s brand well-known nationwide and contributing to the overall success of PVN. He also expressed his impression on the Conference organization, initiatives, innovations, and the role of patriotic emulation movement of PVFCCo. For the period 2015-2020, he recommended PVFCCo to diversify emulation movements more practically, continuously promote the movement for initiatives, innovations, production rationalization, associate emulation movements with timely and appropriate reward policies to motivate employees. He also summarized PVN”s overall achievements in the movement for patriotic emulation, initiatives, innovations with many outstanding works, significantly contributing to the country and the petroleum industry.
On behalf of the leaders, Mr. Le Cu Tan praised teams, individuals and exemplary models in the 2010-2015 period, received instructions from PVN’s leadership, and proposed orientations for the 2015-2020 patriotic emulation movement.
Also in the conference, Mr. Tong Xuan Phong – Chairman of PVFCCo’s Trade Union launched the emulation movement for the 2015-2020 period.
