On 5 February 2015, South East PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Joint Stock Company (PVFCCo SE) – a member of PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo) in collaboration with Binh Phuoc Province’s Agriculture and Fishery Extension Center successfully organized the workshop summarizing Phu My Fertilizer Presentation Model on the Pepper tree at An Loc Commune, Loc Ninh District, Binh Phuoc Province.
Attendees of the workshop included representatives of local agricultural agencies, Binh Phuoc Province”s Agriculture and Fishery Extension Center and more than 120 local farmers. At the workshop, Phu My Fertilizer presentation model on the pepper tree with outstanding yields and profits as compared to the local farmers’ comparative model under routine practice was reported by representatives of Binh Phuoc Province”s Agriculture and Fishery Extension Center. As a result, the productivity from the presentation model was 5.6 -5.8 tons/ha, higher than the comparative model”s productivity by 0.3 -0.5 ton/ha (the productivity from the comparative model was only 4.5 – 5 tons/ha), resulting in a higher profit of VND 90 – 110 million/ha.
According to local farmers, Phu My fertilizers are greatly reliable, yielding high productivity, outstanding fruit setting quality, and limiting pests, as compared to the comparative model. The farmers said that they were assured with Phu My fertilizers without worrying about fakes or poor quality products. Especially, NPK Phu My won their full confidence for the pepper tree, coffee tree and farm produce in the local area.
Also in the workshop, the farmers’ concerns about fertilizer use, seasonal crops, etc. were well attended to and addressed by PVFCCo SE’s representatives and the local agricultural agencies.
The presentation model on the pepper tree has re-affirmed the quality of Phu My fertilizers, simultaneously provided efficient and economical cultivation solutions to the farmers, helping them stay away from fakes or poor quality products, and was highly evaluated by the local authorities for development of local agriculture.
Reportedly, Binh Phuoc Province has the largest pepper plantation area in the country, with approximately 10,200 ha, estimated yield of more than 25,000 tons per year.
