In this afternoon (November 7, 2013), at PVFCCo Tower (43 Mac Dinh Chi, DaKao Ward, District 1, HCMC), PetroVietnam Fertilizers and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo) organized a Conference in response to Vietnam’s “Law Day”.

The conference was attended by guest visitors Dr. Le Tien Chau, Director of Bureau for Justice Affairs in Southern Provinces and Cities, Head of HCMC Representative Office of Legal Club for Enterprises, Ministry of Justice; Mr.Nguyen Ngoc Son (Deputy Dean of Economic Law Faculty, University of Economics and Law). Representatives of PVFCCo at the conference included Mr. Cao Hoai Duong – President & CEO and members of BOD, Management Board, and leaders of departments, divisions, and some employees from Administration Division.

At the conference, delegates listened to introductions to the Law on Legal Popularization and Education 2012; regulations regarding to the Law Day in the Government Decree 28/2013/ND-CP; impacts of the Constitution and laws on enterprises; the significance of the Constitution to operations of enterprises; contents of the economic regime in the 1992 Constitution…, especially the ability to apply legal tools in developing business strategies, in the competition strategy, and handling disputes to protect corporate interests.

Also at the conference, Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Son explained about the meaning of the Law Day and impacts of the Constitution and laws on enterprises, which were very useful, especially, the Competition Law in PVFCCo’s business strategies and the necessity of reviewing commercial contracts… The delegates and speakers were also engaged in exciting exchange and discussion on questions in some specific cirumstances.

Ms. Tran Thanh Huong – Head of Legal Division of PVFCCo also presented her assessment report on legislation tasks in PVFCCo and its members. It was followed by reports of PVFCCo SBD and other members of PVFCCo.

At the end of the conference, Mr. Cao Hoai Duong awarded PVFCCo’s Merit Certificates to teams and individuals with their outstanding achievements in preparation of intra-company documents, legal popularization and education. Especially, Dr. Le Tien Chau, Director of Bureau for Justice Affairs in Southern Provinces and Cities, Head of HCMC Representative Office of Legal Club for Enterprises, Justice Ministry, awarded the Certificate of Diamond Member of Legal Club for Enterprises to PVFCCo.

In the closing speech of the Conference on the “Law Day”, Mr. Cao Hoai Duong – PVFCCo’s President & CEO emphasized the important roles of law, law enforcement, and law observance – in the capacity as citizens, and the compliance of internal rules of PVFCCo’s employees throughout PVFCCo.
