The central region of Vietnam has experienced prolonged and heavy rains that have caused severe human and property damages. The damaged areas spread across the Central and Highlands provinces, of which Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien – Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, and Binh Dinh provinces have been impacted by significant flooding. Promoting the tradition of solidarity, Petrovietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo) and its subsidiary companies urgently launched a campaign to help sufferers of flooding in the central region.

PVFCCo mobilized resources quickly and effectively by asking all employees to donate at least 1 day's salary, then together with the Red Cross, the National Front and local authorities provided sufferers with most needed items such as life jackets, medicine, clothing, foods … The total value of this first round of support is about 200 million VND. This urgent and timely support has received high appreciation from sufferers as well as local authorities.

In the coming days, PVFCCo will continue to mobilize resources for helping people in the Central region. At the same time, the company also plans to coordinate with local authorities to help local people restart their business after floods by such ways as supplying free fertilizers, guiding cultivation techniques, preventing pests and diseases etc. For all of that, PVFCCo intends to give  about 2.5 billion VND.
