In the morning of 16/4/2015, PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo) organized the Conferenceon summarizing production and business activities in quarter I and implementing the action plan of quarter II/2015. Attendees at the Conference, included Mr. Le Cu Tan – Chairman; Mr. Cao Hoai Duong – President & CEO and members from the BOD, the BOM and leaders from divisions, member company, union organizations. The Conference was held at the meeting Hall on 12th Floor and broadcast online at bridge points in all regions of the country.

At the beginning of the Conference,  the delegates listened to Mr. Hoang Tuan Vinh– Head of Planning Division reported on business and production results in quarter I of 2015 and the key tasks for Quarter II/2015. The first three months of the year has seen many difficulties and challenges for operation, such as the new tax laws causing increased cost of production increased, fertilizer price falling, market competition becoming more fierce, etc. However, thanks to close instructions of the Leadership and the effort of all personnel, in general, PVFCCo has completed and exceeded the production and business targets. In quarter I/2015, PVFCCo has positively prepared the overall maintenance at the Plant, implementing the projects in accordance with the schedule, the research and development tasks,  restructure, wage reform work, etc kept on with good progress and changes. At the same time, the report also pointed out some restrictions regarding the production and business activities in quarter I/2015, those related to Phu My Fertilizer’squality, the trading of non-Phu My fertilizers remaining low as compared with the plan, resulting in the output and revenue of Quarter I/2015 only approximately approaching the targets.

On the basis of key tasks requiring implementation in Quarter II/2015, the Conference also listened to the reports from member companies, functional divisions on production, preparation for overall maintenance, market situation, detailed analysis of objective and subjective reasons, and especially specific solutions, plans and proposals to fulfill the tasks including: successful implementation of the overall maintenance of the Plant, good management of materials at the Plant, project planning, goods quality enhancement and classification, improvement of market preparation tasks, marketing to directly support sale of Phu My fertilizers, especially NPK Phu My for the Summer-Autumn crop – Rainy season 2015, strengthening the tasks of brand administration and protection, restructure, etc.

Addressing at the Conference, Mr. Le Cu Tan – Chairman and Mr. Cao Hoai Duong – President & CEO summarized production and business activities of PetroVietnam in Quarter I/2015 and praised the Company for production and business results in Quarter I/2015. At the same time he provided instructions on key points such as: for production and business, focus should be needed on preparation and implementation of Phu My Fertilizer Plant overall maintenance scheduled from 19/5/2015, continuing research and improvement, enhancing Phu My fertilizer product quality, meeting expectation of customers; good management of materials at the Plant, planning of projects at the Plant; In business, PVFCCO should  maintain the policy of reasonable prices, securing the stable quality and supplies of imports, encouraging the innovative breakthrough mechanism in business, in marketing and communication, policies for sales employees, distributors….to keep up with its leading position in urea, better selling other fertilizers – especially NPK Phu My. For projects, restructure and other tasks: the Company should try to sign the  NPK Plant EPC contract in 4/2015; divesting itself from PVFCCo SBD on the basis of efficiency and considering the employees’ proposals; successfully organizing 2015 Annual General Meeting and Party meetings at all levels to proceed with the project on salary innovation, and putting forward proposals relating to appropriate taxation policies on fertilizers, etc.
