During two days, 12 – 13 August 2015, in Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province, PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo) held the Conference on Planning 2015.
Attendees included Mr. Le Cu Tan – BOD Chairman, Mr. Cao Hoai Duong – President & CEO, members of BOD, BOM and leaders of functional divisions/Headquarters of PVFCCo, Phu My Fertilizer Plant, subsidiary companies, Ho Chi Minh City Branch, Dam Phu My Packaging JSC, PetroVietnam Southern Building and Development JSC (PVFCCo SBD), representatives of the contractor SSG (Provider of ERP system – Planning module implementation), and especially 75 officials directly engaged in planning tasks throughout PVFCCo.
The Conference was held to address planning requirements in new situation, and also in preparation for the application of Hyperion Planning Management (HPM) of ERP Program, Phase 2 to be operational.
At the Conference, delegates were briefed by the representative of PVFCCo’s Planning Division on planning work and the current implementation of ERP system – Planning module at PVFCCo, listening to the representative of the Contractor SSG presenting introduction and answering questions on HPM application and Business Intelligence system, then receiving Dr. Huynh Thanh Dien’s special Report on Business Planning Analysis and Budgeting Framework in the viewpoint of management. The Conference also welcomed suggestions and instruction of the Chairman, Vice Chairpersons, President & CEO in an effort to improve professional skills for personnel engaged in planning tasks at PVFCCo.
After two working days, with the enthusiastic working spirit of delegates, the Conference was well aware of the efficiency in application of the software system in planning at PVFCCo as well as able to locate difficulties and problems in preparing, monitoring and supervising the plan implementation, improving knowledge and skills in production planning, especially forecast and risk analysis.
Reportedly, this was the first time PVFCCo held the Conference on Planning to provide its planning officials with chances for discussion, exchange of experience in planning, helping the planning task at each unit to be carried out in the most practical way, eliminating risks and yielding efficiency in overall business results of PVFCCo and its member companies.
