In the afternoon of November 05, 2015, at the PVFCCo’s head office, Petrovietnam Fertilizer And Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo) organized a conference in response to Vietnam’s Law Day 2015.

The conference was attended by guest visitors including Dr. Le Dang Doanh – Former Director of Central Institute for Economic Management; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Huy Hong – Vice Dean of Faculty of Commercial Law – University of Law, Ho Chi Minh City and Mrs. Nguyen Ut Hanh – Representative of Legal Club for Enterprises – Representative Office of the Ministry of Justice in Ho Chi Minh City. PVFCCo’s attending leaders included Mr. Le Cu Tan – BOD Chairman, Mr. Cao Hoai Duong – President & CEO, other BOD members, Board of Management, Functional Divisions and member companies.

In the opening speech of the conference, Mrs. Le Thi Thu Huong, Vice President said: Beside many practical activities in response to the Law Day, this year, PVFCCo launched the Law Contest for all employees, which attracted 541 articles with high quality in contents and formats. This conference is a valuable opportunity for delegates to discuss the current situation of law application at member companies, and share their desires and recommendations for more improvement in the course of implementation.

At the conference, delegates listened to speeches and opinions of representatives from PVFCCo’s divisions for basic assessment of required law procedure implementation task at PVFCCo during 2014-2015 stage, and shared information on their roles and experience in updating, applying new law procedures and pointed out shortcomings in actively updating legal documents.

Then, Dr. Le Dang Doanh delivered a speech on “Legal preparation in support of international integration, FTA with EU, AEC, TPP: Opportunities and challenges for enterprises”. He shared some useful and interesting information on some major countries, presented a brief introduction on trade agreements, specifying the impacts, opportunities and challenges of economic free trade agreements and international integration for Vietnam in general and each domestic enterprise in particular, especially given Vietnam’s recent accession to TPP.

In the closing speech, Mr. Le Cu Tan highly appreciated the organization task of the conference. The conference provided and updated much useful legal information in support of specialized tasks of PVFCCo’s employees. Mr. Le Cu Tan has also emphasized the important roles of law, law enforcement, and law compliance – as citizens, and compliance of internal rules by employees throughout PVFCCo.

Also at the conference, PVFCCo awarded Merit Certificates to 07 teams and 15 individuals with good achievements in law preparation, propaganda, dissemination and compliance in PVFCCo. PVFCCo also announced and awarded the prizes for 01 team and 11 individual winners of the Law Contest.
