This morning (12th December 2013), at the PVFCCo headquarters, Mr. Le Cu Tan, Chairman of BOD of PVFCCo, together with other leaders such as Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien, Vice Chairwoman of BOD, Ms. Le Thi Thu Huong, Vice President and the IR team met and worked with the high-ranking delegation of Franklin Templeton Investments (the U.S).
From Franklin Templeton Investments, there were Mr. Mark Mobius – Executive Chairman of Templeton Emerging Markets Group, Mr. Richard Piliero – Executive Director in charge of Southeast Asia and representatives of the Franklin TempletonFunds in Vietnam and Singapore.
At the meeting, Mr. Le Cu Tan and PVFCCo’s leaders and the IR team provided the delegation with the updated information about the production and business results in 2013, and information about the fertilizer market, investment projects and development orientation of PVFCCo in upcoming years. After that, the Franklin Templeton delegation visited the PVFCCo tradition hall where they were introduced of the production process of Phu My Fertilizer.
Mr. Mark Mobius expressed his sincere thanks to the PVFCCo’s leaders for their warm hospitality as well as helpful information about the PVFCCo at the meeting. In addition, he expressed his attention in and high appreciation for achievements and long term development potential of DMP stock in particular and PVFCCo in general. Of which, he was especially impressed with PVFCCo’s social responsibility activities, as well as outstanding titles and awards received by PVFCCo last year.
Reportedly, Mr. Mark Mobius is a person whose ideas have a significant impact on investment decisions of Franklin Templeton Funds in particular and of financial investors in general. In 2011, he was named one of 50 most influential people in the word by Bloomberg.
Franklin Templeton Investments is now one of the world’s largest asset management groups with the asset under its management valued at 844,7 billion USD, representing over 25 million professional private investors and investment organizations all over the world. In recent years, Franklin Templeton has invested hundreds of millions USD in Vietnamese stock market.
Franklin Templeton Investments has recently bought in a large amount of DPM stocks and is currently one of the biggest foreign institutional shareholders of PVFCCo.
