Aligning with the Party and the State and the common program of the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam), the PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo) has launched the “Tet for the Poor” program. Demonstrates the commitment to fulfilling social and community responsibilities, providing support, and bringing joy to families and individuals facing difficulties during the Tet holiday.
For every individual in Vietnam, the Lunar New Year brings a sacred and meaningful period. In the context of the country’s economy facing many difficulties due to the prolonged impact of global political and economic fluctuations in recent years, many families and individuals are currently facing numerous challenges and are unable to afford a relatively warm, fulfilling Tet.
In response to the call of the Party and the State, as well as fulfilling its social responsibility, PVFCCo has implemented the “Tet for the Poor” program nationwide. Reflecting its core values of “Sharing,” PVFCCo has allocated resources with the desire to collectively ensure that “no one is left behind,” helping families in difficult circumstances have a more complete and warmer Tet. The “Tet for the Poor” program started on January 18, 2024, and will continue until February 5, 2024, providing around 13,000 gifts with a total value of nearly 10 billion VND. Each gift includes cash and necessities for the Tet holiday. The program is organized in nearly 100 communes/wards in 40 provinces/cities across the country.
During the implementation of the “Tet for the Poor” program, PVFCCo has received enthusiastic coordination and support from local authorities, the Fatherland Front Committee, the Red Cross Society, media agencies, and residents. This collaborative relationship is a crucial factor in the success of the program. The local community highly appreciates the positive and societal significance of the program, especially in enhancing the spirit of solidarity and sharing within the community. This aligns with the content of Resolution 43 of the Party Central Committee on continuing to promote traditions, the strength of national unity, and building a prosperous and happy country. This resolution was personally presented by State President Vo Van Thuong at the recent national assembly to study and implement the resolutions of the 13th Central Committee.
