In the morning of September 19, 2014, PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo) in collaboration with the local authority leaders organized the inauguration ceremony for the project of renovation of Ea Tieu Primary School, Cu Kuin District, Dak Lak Province.
Attendees of the ceremony included Mr. Mai Hoan Nie Kdam, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Province People’s Committee; Mr. Hdim H Dat – Vice Director of Dak Lak Department of Education & Training, and on the part of PVFCCo’s leadership – Mr. Duong Tri Hoi – PVFCCo’s Vice President.
The renovation of Ea Tieu Primary School was sponsored by PVFCCo at the total investment cost of VND 4 billion, sourced from the 2013-2014 Social Security Fund of PVFCCo. The project was started from 04/2014 and completed in 09/2014, providing the total usable area of over 360 m2 including one IVth grade building block of 2 floors, 8 class rooms. All classrooms are fully equipped with desks, chairs and studying tools for pupils. Also at the ceremony, PVFCCo have also donated 500 notebooks for the pupils.
Reportedly, Ea Tieu is an agricultural commune challenged with many difficulties of Cu Kuin District, Dak Lak Province, its population is more than 4,000 with minority ethnic people representing 40%. The renovation of Ea Tieu Primary School will contribute to the teaching and studying tasks, improving the education quality at the commune, especially facilitating ethnic minority pupils in going to school.
