In the morning of 27 November 2014, the dormitory for Chieu Luu Junior High School’s day-boarders was jointly inaugurated by PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo) and the local authority in Ky Son District, Nghe An Province.
Attendees of the inauguration included Mr. Do Duc Ngo – Vice Chairman of Vietnam Association for Child Rights Protection; Mrs. Cut Thi Nguyet – Vice Chairwoman of Ky Son District People’s Committee and Mr. Tran Van Dao – Chairman of PVFCCo’s Veterans Association, representative of PVFCCo’s leadership.
The construction of dormitory for Chieu Luu Junior High School’s day-boarders at Ky Son District, Nghe An Province was commenced in May 2014 with total investment capital of VND 2 billion – raised from PVFCCo 2014 Social Security Fund. The construction facility covered an area of 285.5m2, including a 2-storied building with 4 rooms in each floor, satisfying day-boarding demands of pupils.
Reportedly, Ky Son, a remote district of Nghe An Province bordering Laos, has ethnic minorities accounting for over 90% population. The inauguration of Chieu Luu Junior High School’s dormitory helps settle day-boarders’ requirement, playing as a meaningful event for the school and its pupils.
