In dealing with the climate change, rainstorms and floods occurring more frequently, complicatedly, extraordinarily and resulting in unpredictable consequences with impacts upon the whole territory of Vietnam, and also in an effort to strengthen PVFCCo’s management and loss control in goods transportation and storage, from September 12 to 13, 2014 in Da Nang, PetroVietNam Insurance Joint Stock Corporation in Ho Chi Minh City (HCM PVI) held the “Loss prevention and control, risk management of domestic goods transportation and storage” workshop for in-charge officers of PVFCCo and its Plants, Affiliates, local/regional companies and SBD.
The workshop helped the in-charge officers of PVFCCo’s members thoroughly understand insurance terms and enthusiastically exchange, discuss arising actual problems, risk prevention measures and joint plans with PVI for settlement, ensuring the risks to be compensated in cases of loss and damage. Moreover, the members also exchanged their experience in prevention and protection in case of frequent emergency such as rainstorms, warehouse roofs blown up, warehouse overrun with flooding water, etc. in order to minimize losses and damage of storage goods.
Both parties mutually agreed to strengthen the exchange of information resulting from their works, and PVI HCM would take responsibility for giving advices, promptly including additional insurance provisions to preserve the value of PVFCCo’s goods and assets in case of losses and damage.
