In practical response to “Campaign for a Cleaner World” and 2016 Day for All People to Participate in Fire Prevention and Fighting , in the afternoon of October 11, 2016, PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo) held a “Green Day” to demonstrate its commitment to the sustainable development, environment protection and fire & explosion control.
Attendees of “Green Day”, on the part of PVFCCo”s Board of Management, included Mr. Le Cu Tan – Chairman, Mr. Le Van Quoc Viet – Vice President along with members in the Board of Directors, Board of Management, Trade Union, Youth Union, leaders of PVFCCo”s Divisions/Office and HCMC Branch.
In the Green Day program, participants watched several documentaries on current environmental pollution in the world as well as in Vietnam to find out problems and implement solutions to join hands in protecting the habitat of ourselves and our future generations. In addition, PVFCCo”s Green Day was honored to welcome Mr. Nguyen Trong Minh – Environment expert, Deputy Director of Greco Center, who shared his experiences in building a green office model as the basis for implementation in line with PVFCCo actual situation. Participants were provided with useful knowledge related to environment protection as well as fire fighting and prevention at offices through funny puzzles with rewards.
Especially, the “Green Day” also included the program of Personnel‘s Joint Commitment to Environment Protection and Fire Prevention and Fighting at Workplace. This was a meaningful activity reflecting PVFCCo”s corporate culture and contributing to raise PVFCCo”s image. Each employee signing the commitment would be given a desktop green tree: the commitment conveyed the message of joint environment protection through interaction with others to take care of trees.
After the commitment signing session, PVFCCo”s youth union launched the movement to clean desks, cabinets, desktop computers, printers, photocopiers, coffee machines, hot and cold water dispensers, areas, etc. according to working areas of each Department/Office.
