In the morning of October 12, 2012, at the head office and online broadcasted at member units, PVFCCo held a special talk show about on Vietnamese islands and called for supports to the Fund of “Sentimental nets for Hoang Sa, Truong Sa” (Paracel and Spratly Islands)
Attending the talk were: Dr. Tran Cong Truc – Former Head of the Government Border Committee – and specialized speaker on Vietnamese island topic; Mr. Bui Minh Tien – Party Secretary and Chairman of PVFCCo, Mr. Cao Hoai Duong – Deputy Party Secretary, President & CEO of PVFCCo, Ms. Tran Thi Phuong Thao – Deputy Party Secretary and Trade Union Chairwoman, as well as members of the Board of Directors (BOD), the Board of Management (BOM), department heads of PVFCCo, associations, member companies and branches under PVFCCo;
After the 3-hour talk and going through content of the book named the Imprint of Vietnam on the East Sea, Dr. Tran Cong Truc introduced the government’s policy and solutions to define the sea territory and continental shelf of Vietnam, especially on the East Sea; the process of establishment and execution of Vietnam’s sovereignty over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa Islands; and to confirm that Vietnam has valid principles, legal and historical evidence proving Vietnam’s soveignty over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa Islands.
Also on October 12, 2012, all employees of PVFCCo enthusiastically donated to the Fund of “Sentimental nets for Hoang Sa, Truong Sa”; and obtaining 160,331,000 VND at the result.
