Wishing tosharethe pain and severe loss of the Central people caused by recentfloods, the leadershipand Trade Union of PVFCCo have called upon the entire personnel to join hands in providing material and spiritual support to our compatriots in Central Vietnam to help them overcome this tough period.
After a week from initiation and actively supported by all PVFCCo personnel, PVFCCo Trade Union has collected 208,851,000VND and38 boxes of clothes. PVFCCO Trade Union, in collaboration with the Security Team and Trade Union of PVFCCo Central, will make a detailed and timely plan to transfer this sum to people in flood areas to help them quickly overcome damages, stabilize their lives, and get back to normal production. As for the donated clothes, Trade Unions of PVFCCo members have sent directly to PVFCCo Central Trade Union to hand to the flood victims.
This is a practical activity of PVFCCo to promote the culture of “Sharing Responsibility”, the mutual affection spirit of Vietnamese people, and together with the people across the country to share the pain and loss of people in Central Vietnam.
Reportedly, during this storm and flood period, people in Central Vietnam, especially those living in Thua Thien Hue Province to Khanh Hoa Province, have suffered severe damages. Dozens of people were killed and reported missing. The floods have destroyed thousands of houses, blown away rooftops, and swept away tens of thousands hectares of crops and raised animals, seriously damaging economic resources of local residents.
