The program “Tet for the poor” of Spring 2014 – the Year of the Horse, including more than 8,000 gift sets worth over 4 billion VND, has been co-organized by PVFCCo and its member companies around the country and taken place from 20th December 2013 to 25th January 2014 in 70 communes of 32 provinces nationwide. This granting Tet gift program has been the biggest one performed by PVFCCo so far. The gift recipients are underprivileged farming families, households under preferential treatment policies, wounded and sick soldiers, the people who have contributed to the Revolution. Each gift set is worth 500,000 dongs, including 200,000 dongs in cash and necessaries equivalent to 300,000 dongs used in Tet Festival. The program “Tet for the poor” is an annually social activity that has been deployed by PVFCCo since 2008, with the close collaboration of the Vietnam Fatherland Frontier, Vietnam Red Cross Society, local authorities, communication agencies, aiming at supporting poor and disadvantaged families to have conditions to welcome Tet happily and comfortably. So far, PVFCCo has funded a total of more than 12 billion VND for the program “Tet for the poor”. This is a practical and meaningful activity of PVFCCo’s leaders and employees to share difficulties with disadvantaged families, especially those in remote areas. These people were deeply moved with gratitude for the gifts received from PVFCCo.
