In the morning of 10 September 2015, Central PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Joint Stock Company (PVFCCo Central) in collaboration with Binh Dinh Province Agriculture and Fishery Extension Center held the workshop summarizing Phu My Fertilizers Presentation Model on the Corn plant for 2015 Summer-Autumn crop in An Phong Commune, Hoai An District, Binh Dinh Province.
Attendees of the workshop included Mr. Le Van Sang – Deputy Director of Binh Dinh Province Agriculture and Fishery Extension Center, Mr. Pham Van Phat – representative of Cultivation Division under Binh Dinh Province Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, representatives of An Phong Commune People”s Committee and more than 100 participants who are directors of cooperatives, members of agriculture extension center, well-skilled local farmers from 15 communes and towns in Hoai An District, Binh Dinh Province.
Applied on an area of 3 ha to the hybrid corn seed CP: 333 under the cultivation process, the Model used Phu My fertilizers such as Phu My Urea, Phu My Kali and Phu My NPK 16-16-8 + 13S+TE, resulting in the growth time of about 85-90 days from sowing to harvest.
As reported by Mr. Le Van Sang – Deputy Director of Binh Dinh Province Agriculture and Fishery Extension Center and compared actually between the field applying the Model and the comparative field, the corn field using Phu My Fertilizers well grown, was well drought resistant, hard, little susceptible to pestilent insects, the leaves remained the characteristic green of the corn plant, the fertilizer costs was lower while the estimated productivity was higher approximately 3 quintal/Ha, and the economic efficiency was higher at about VND 2.8 million.
Addressing the workshop, Mr. Le Van Sang affirmed the economic efficiency of the model, and highly appreciated Phu My Fertilizers for partnering with local farmers to implement the plan of transforming terrestrial crop varieties on the rice soil of Binh Dinh Province, especially in the conditions of unpredictable weather, frequent drought, lack of water for rice cultivation in many areas.
Talking to directors of co-operatives and farmers attending the workshop, most of them said that they would apply the processes using Phu My fertilizers right in the coming crop.
