According to the Binh Dinh Province Steering Committee for Flood and Storm Control – Search and Rescue, fromthe afternoon of 15-11-2013 the floodwater at thisprovince was rising equivalent tothat ofthe historic flood 2009. In front of Nhon Binh industrial zone, office and warehouse of PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation Central (PVFCCo Central), the water rised quite high, nearly reachingthe warehouse door.
PVFCCo Central has actively carried outflood control tasks, specifically: building two lines of02 sand bagsat the warehouse doorsand gates; securely sealing manholes to prevent sewage water overflowing upwards to the warehouse; continuously operating 03 pumps to dischargewater overflowing the warehouse upwards from culverts; regularly reinforcing any openings; the Leadershipand the entire Emergency Response teamof PVFCCo Central are onwatch 24/7; the Leadership and Steering committee for Emergency Response from the Corporation also continuously monitorsand supportsPVFCCo Central.
At present (18/11/2013) floodwater has basically withdrawn, people, goods, propertiesofPVFCCo Central in Binh Dinh are safe. PVFCCo’s Leadershiphas praised the responsibilityspirit, effort of PVFCCo Central. Given the possibility thatfloodscan return, the PVFCCo Central always maintainsthe Emergency Response teamto protect safety for people, properties and goods.
